This zine represents a part of my personality and soul. When I was in college, like many of my peers, I was eager to experience romantic relationships and find that sweet, intimate connection. However, even after graduating from college, I still hadn't found a partner. I came to realize that finding someone who truly aligns with me, both in mind and spirit, with similar values, was quite challenging.
So, I began to contemplate whether I needed to better understand myself. I started to question my role as a woman and whether there was more potential in me to explore different types of relationships. That's when I began reading "The Second Sex" and "The Ethical Slut" hoping to find self-identity within these books...

Being a feminist and pursuing independence and strength, I still feel quite lonely. Can I long for love?
Being a feminist and pursuing independence and strength, I still feel quite lonely. Can I long for love?
So I began sketching various events from my daily life, capturing all the underlying anxiety, loneliness, and conflicting emotions. Cynical and world-weary, I found myself trapped in the struggle between desiring independence and yearning for love. I felt a profound sense of loneliness that seemed to emerge from nowhere, despite lacking nothing materially.
I longed to break free from constraints and explore the vast world beyond... Eventually, I came to realize that feminism wasn't what I initially imagined. Strength can coexist with tenderness, and independence can be harmonious with loving and being loved.
