In today's world, the trend is towards diverse exploration and sharing of information across various fields. However, upon observation, we've noted that skill exchange platforms often have high entry barriers or suffer from low user engagement. Conversely, on the other end of the spectrum, modern friendship apps have become prevalent. Yet, genuine emotions don't always accompany such interactions; responses are often superficial and the other party tends to fade away.

To discourage superficial connections based on appearance, we've design the photo size to occupy less half of the card's space. Moreover, users are only allowed to upload photos related to their skills and the skill-sharing process.

Time limit chat

In order to avoid spending too much time on the unsuitable person or someone weird, we set the chat with time limit after users matched.

Once users matched, they can have a conversation in 24 hours. If they determine that each other is a suitable candidate, they can choose to become friends and have no time limit chat to deeper conversation and plan their skill-exchanging meet.

In the design methods course, my inspiration sparked as we employed various techniques to gain deeper insights into users. Recognizing areas for improvement, we could enhance our approach by conducting more thorough user research, including creating user profiles and delving into behavioral analysis. Additionally, performing tests on users post-prototype completion would serve as a valuable means to validate and optimize our designs.
